I have a few  proposals as a  type of testimonial for domestic violence. The first one would be an awareness event located at predominately male events, the first demonstration location would be outside football stadiums across the country right before kick-off. Other locations that I would also like to conduct these demonstrations would be at Country Clubs around the US. I would also like to host these demonstrations at restaurants and movie theaters as well. The main point of the location of these demonstrations first would be to exploit the new meaning of ‘manhood’ and how it has become a term of empowerment over woman in this day and age. Men need to see that it is the opposite of manly to abuse a loved one. The point of the demonstrations at theaters and restaurants would be to reach out to couples. Domestic violence and sexual assault is carried out by those closest too us, the ones who take you out to dinner and the movies on the weekends.

A second proposal that I have which might be more powerful would be a creation of a mobile app that alls you to search any location throughout the United States and a projection of domestic violence cases appear around that location which occurred there. Though this could be a little tricky I think it would shock most users when they see how many domestic violence cases and past cases are around them in their own neighborhoods. This could be an eye opening app that will change people’s indifferent attitudes towards domestic violence and the thought that it can’t and won’t happen to me, because most likely at some point it will happen to you or someone close to you. The app will show results for arrests and convictions as well as another mode which projects the assumed domestic violence cases around you which go unreported, as the majority of domestic violence is this way for many victims unable to break free from the perpetrators power over them. This should be a shocking volume of cases and almost instill a type of desire in the viewers to change the amount of ‘red dots’ in their area.
